When Jeff Lunde was newly elected to the Hennepin County Commission, he was searching for new platforms to reach District 1 constituents during the ongoing COVID pandemic. Because of his prior relationship to CCX Media while serving as Mayor of Brooklyn Park, he turned to CCX in March 2021 to discuss his ideas for communicating important County topics.
County staff talked in detail with CCX Media about their desire to use Zoom and Facebook. To seamlessly integrate and enhance the look of multiple platforms, CCX Media came up with a plan that was as convenient for the panel experts as it was for the viewing public.
On May 26, 2021, Lunde moderated his first Facebook live event as County Commissioner on the topic of the METRO Blue Line Extension. The event featured brief presentations followed by Q&A. CCX Media assisted by managing the Zoom meeting, adding graphics with live graphics platform, Singular.live, and providing a stream to Hennepin County’s Facebook page and Vimeo’s livestreaming platform, Livestream.
In December, Lunde once again partnered with CCX Media to host another Facebook Live event on the METRO Blue Line Extension project. This event’s partners also included CLUES and St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and was streamed in English and in Spanish.
